Meet the Team

James established Convene IT in 2008 providing high levels of IT support to a selected few customers, this has grown through great customer service and working with a great team. James is mainly involved with projects and moving Convene forward as well as the companies they maintain. When he gets the time, he enjoys visits to the cinema and gaming.

Kevin joined the company in early 2011 and as the New Business Manager is responsible for bringing on new customers and promoting our unrivalled Business IT Support Service at Expos and local networking groups. “We are always looking to help businesses and organisations who are looking to review their current IT Provision”. After retiring from singing (and recently becoming a grandad) he spends his time with family, watching (and playing) football and loves a Holiday!

Jack joined the team straight from school as an apprentice and has been with Convene since 2011. He has completed a Cisco course. Jack spends a lot of time onsite with customers, he specialises in installing new servers, PC’s, routers and setting up Office 365. Away from the office Jack enjoys lots of different sports especially cricket.

Phil started working for ConveneIT in 2011. He is currently Technical Manager and works on larger projects, server installs and Data Centre work. He has 15+ years experience working within the IT Industry and has various Cisco, Microsoft and Comptia qualifications. Phil is also a qualified scuba diver. His spare time is taken up with his children.

Lee is part of the main install team, who goes out to visit sites and complete all necessary tasks. Lee enjoys being able to meet new customers, migrating to Office 365 and setting up new servers and networks. When not working, Lee’s competitive side comes out in gaming and taking part in pub quizzes.

Beth is our Customer Relationship Manager, she deals with the support contract renewals and helps with projects outside of the day to day IT fixes. She understands how to translate the technical into straight forward language. If you have any non-technical queries Beth is your go to. Outside of work Beth likes to spend time with her partner and two daughters, walk the family dog, watch films and play on the Xbox.

Ken joined the team as an apprentice at the beginning of 2016. His main role is to deal with any issues customers may have over the phone, he will work with them to try and rectify any issues they may have. He enjoys all different aspects of computers and working out what they do

Joe joined Convene IT straight from school in September 2016. He works in IT support and enjoys talking to customers and fixing different types of issues. Out of work, Joe enjoys watching football and spending time with friends.

Paul joined the team in 2016 having previously worked as an IT manager for a Telecoms company for 14 years. He is a senior member of the engineering team and specialises in broadband. Paul’s hobbies include watching football, eating out and watching boxsets.

Nathan started with Convene IT in 2016 and works alongside Jacob as the Helpdesk Team Leader, ensuring the team is running smoothly, efficiently and to standard. He helps out wherever he can but outside of work Nathan enjoys 3D Graphics & Motion Design, Filmmaking, Photography and Online Gaming.

Jacob started Convene IT in 2018 as an apprentice and worked in the Support Team. He is now promoted to Helpdesk Manager, ensuring the team runs smoothly and efficiently. Outside of work Jacob enjoys going on holiday, drinking alcohol (only to sensible levels….), spending time with friends and restoring his classic cars.

Jamie is a networking graduate who enjoys all aspects of IT, especially getting hands on with different equipment. His previous role as a service desk analyst has given him great experience in speaking to customers and providing support. Outside of work Jamie is a huge gamer, reader and frequently visits the cinema. He also enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

Ian is based in the Salford office. He has nearly 30 years experience in IT, working within education, financial services, and small business customers

David has over 7 years experience, working on helpdesks on different IT issues. Out of work, David enjoys watching football and spending time with friends and family

Shaun has 13 years’ experience in IT support in various settings. Shaun enjoys helping people and providing great service. In his free time Shaun likes to visit car shows, watch the Formula 1 and play video games. Shaun can say the longest place name in the UK: llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.

After starting out in retail, Jack moved into IT by completing a Level 3 Information Communications Technician apprenticeship. He has since progressed to a Senior Helpdesk Technician role, building strong experience in technical support. In his free time, he enjoys football, rugby, Formula 1, gaming, and spending time with friends.

Chris has over 8 years of experience working at a leading IT company. His previous role as an Infrastructure Support Specialist has given him vast experience in server maintenance and he is considered a subject matter expert when it comes to ensuring customer infrastructures are securely backed up and protected against data loss. Out of work, he enjoys playing video games as well as watching sports including Football and Formula 1.

Phil has 13 years experience in the IT Sales space (lucky for his customers!). He knows that offering a genuine and helpful service is the only way to win and retain customers. In his spare time Phil likes to watch films from the 1950’s to the 70s especially. Just don’t ask him what is now showing on TV! He also enjoys any kind of music with a melody and tasting the delights of real ale.

Before joining Convene, Laurie was a Sales & Marketing Executive for a import and export company. In her spare time, she likes spending time with her partner and young son, shopping, cooking and visiting new places.

John has spent most of his working career in Electronics, IT and Sales (of some nature). He is always willing to go the extra mile to get whatever needs doing done. His sporting interests used to be Snowboarding the world but now it’s more localised to watching Formula 1 on TV. The world got smaller after his son was born, but when he’s old enough, they will ride again. Other than that his other interests are watching movies, box-sets and gigs with his wife and friends.

Susan is Convene’s Financial Controller. She has worked in accountancy and finance for over 30 years and is the person to contact if you have any queries on the invoices we send you and your account with us. Outside of work group exercise at the gym, cooking and spending time with her family.

Alex worked on a Service Desk for a Healthcare Software provider for a few years before joining Convene. He loves football and is a huge Man United fan. As well as watching football he also plays a few times a week. Alex also enjoys physical activities to keep fit like walking, biking, as well as drinking beer and socialising with friends at the weekend.

Alex works in IT Support, currently finishing his apprenticeship. He is new to IT and enjoys learning to better himself to develop his career. Out of work he enjoy the Gym, Football and all things cars.

Rob has experience providing IT support in the Education and Private sectors. Before he started in IT he worked in primary school education providing 1 to 1 special needs support. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and programming.

Natt has 4 years’ experience within IT Support. He is always willing to help out and is a real team player. When not stuck into his work he enjoys playing/ watching football, gaming and going hiking. He has just welcomed the arrival of his daughter Everleigh who was born on the 26th July 2023!

Steve is an experienced Operations Manager helping rapidly growing companies to enable people and processes to meet todays growing demands in the IT sector. Also, Steve is a HR Leader and has a CIPD Level 5 Diploma. In his spare time he enjoys watching football, F1, Rugby, eating out and action movies.

Ellie originally joined Convene as a Business Administration Apprentice, which she successfully completed. She has a sausage dog named Koda, who’s full of personality! In her spare time, Ellie loves being outdoors, especially going on hikes and exploring new places. A true animal lover, she dreams of one day having her own hobby farm. When it’s time to unwind, you’ll find her curled up on the sofa with a blanket, a hot chocolate, candles lit, and a good crime documentary on the TV.

Alex joined the team as a Helpdesk Technician and is here to help with any tech issues you may have. He’s always learning new things to be the best engineer he can be. In his free time, he enjoys reading, video games & classic horror movies.

Lance joined the team as a Helpdesk Technician. In his free time, he enjoys playing online games on his PlayStation, building Lego and visiting Disney land Florida to see mickey mouse.

Richard has worked in IT for around 7 years, starting in the educational sector. He is a cat loving snooker loopy and an F1 nut, Who loves a cold beer and joining friends for a Game/movie night in.

Alex studied Mechanical Engineering at University before choosing to move into the IT sector by completing an IT Network Technician Level 3 apprenticeship and then going on to joining Convene IT. When not solving IT related issues he likes spending his free time socialising with friends, playing video games, watching football or having a kick about with his work colleagues

Outside of work Steve likes to spend time with his family, walking the family dog, mountain biking and playing on the Xbox.

Ella joined Convene as an apprentice after finishing her degree in Computer Science. When she’s not in work she spends most of her time with her horse Smokey, they often go to shows and competitions.

Harry joined convene in 2025 as a helpdesk apprentice after completing A-levels at sixth form. At the weekend Harry enjoys going to the lake district with family to stay in a caravan they own on a holiday park, he often reads books and watches 80s films.

James started working in IT in 2017 as an apprentice and spent his fair share of time fixing printers and under desks plugging things in. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his little boy and unwinding to the latest Netflix series .

Luke has worked in IT for 11 Years mainly supporting the educational sector. When he’s not working, he’s spending time with his family or watching the football. He also enjoys a Friday evening pint with friends.

Connor has been working in the IT industry for 9+ years, with the start of his career being in computer building. In his spare time he loves a ice cold pint, training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, playing golf and video games

Bekah is one of our Customer Relationship Managers, looking after support contract renewals and helping clients with projects beyond day-to-day IT support. She has a knack for translating technical jargon into straightforward, easy-to-understand language. Outside of work, Bekah enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog, watching films with her 2 cats, training in aerial fitness (hoop and silks), and picking up any new crafty hobby that catches her interest.

Zac has 9+ Years in IT. He’s very outgoing and loves to socialise. He recently became a father to Casper (5 months old baby boy). He loves the outdoors and sports, but he’s also a big nerd.
